He was then assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-I70I-C, under the command of Captain Rachel Garrett with Lt. Richard Castillo as his department head and was promoted to Lieutenant junior grade. He served for 8 years as conn/navigator.

He was then promoted to full Lieutenant and was made Chief of Security on board the U.S.S. Stargazer, NCC-2893, under his academy friend, Captain Jean-Luc Picard, and became part of a friendship with him and Lieutenant Commander Jack Crusher, during the 6 years he served on board the Constellation class ship, he learned much about ships and exploration and his friendship with Capt. Picard and Cmdr. Crusher, proved that Starfleet was the right choice for him.

After serving 6 years, he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and was made Second Officer of the U.S.S. Merrimac, NCC-6I827, a Nebula Class starship where he spent 8 years. During which time he married then Lieutenant junior grade T’Pzata, a Science officer on board the U.S.S. Emissary, Ambassador Class, NCC-27II5. They have two children, Sotek and T’Ptwaen.

He was then promoted to full Commander and was First Officer to Captain Robert DeSoto on board the U.S.S. Hood, NCC-42296, an Excelsior class starship for 6 years.

He then received his first command, the U.S.S. Crista Macalliffe, NCC-II907, an Oberth class science vessel, and was promoted to Captain, where for I0 years he was exploring the Beta Quadrant enroute to the Delta Quadrant. On 43997.6, when the Borg under Locutus’ command (his close friend, Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Galaxy Class, NCC-I70I-D) in Sector 00I, he was supervising the final tests of his second command, the U.S.S. Galaxy, when the station at Utopia Planetia went into red alert and the Galaxy was going to be summoned into duty. All the crew that was available at the time were cadets and engineers, so with a boatload of kids and engineers, he was going to take on a menace that had just destroyed 39 starships and killed II,000 people in the process. Fortunately, the Enterprise arrived and destroyed the Borg ship over the Martian defense perimeter, all Capt. Sershek said after the almost premature launch was "Good drill.".

On stardate 44I09.6, Captain Sershek got command of the newly refitted Galaxy class U.S.S. Galaxy NX-7O637, after I0 years on a science vessel. With approval from his grandfather and father, he sent off to explore and defend the galaxy and the Federation. His wife and children are stationed on board the U.S.S. Prometheus, Nebula Class, NCC-7I20I.

HOBBIES/LIKES/DISLIKES:

A perennial hobbyist, there is little he hasn't tried. He plays a Vulcan harp that has been in his family for years. He is open but his general interests are reading and fencing. His likes are practically everything and he dislikes a closed mind and no challenge.

PERSONALITY:

A typical and in some ways not so typical Vulcan. He has many likes and is forever challenging himself to be the best. He is respected by his crew and senior staff and he trusts their opinions. He socializes occasionally with his officers and seeing what interests them beyond the code of Starfleet. He gets along well with his past officers and wishes to continue those friendships he has created over the years. He has toured the Enterprise when his friend Jean-Luc Picard took command and the same respect was given when he took command. He has been offered the rank of Admiral on several occasions and has refused citing he prefers the challenge of starship life rather than ‘flying a desk’. He hopes to have as long a Starfleet history as his grandfather, Serek.
